Can be a long time: It takes a long time to recover from a frozen shoulder. Physical therapy takes some time, a cortisone shot may help somewhat, but most often recovery takes months. Mobilization under anesthesia, where you are sedated and an orthopedist releases the adhesions holding the shoulder in place, offers almost immediate relief and is most likely the easiest way to go.
