Fiber : Oatmeal contains plenty of soluble fiber which causes gas, and can rather quickly. Fiber is very important to have in your diet since it can help you lose weight, lower cholesterol and keep your intestines moving! If oatmeal gives you gas I suggest trying other sources of fiber, especially insoluble fiber rich foods such as wheat bran.
