I have a 11 year old coming to stay with me and they have bed bugs at their house. what is the best way to ensure i don't end up enhariting their bugs?

Bed bugs may hitch: a ride on clothing, but they are not like lice and will not travel directly on a person. I suppose the safest thing would be to have some new/clean clothes waiting for the 11 year old, remove everything in a non-carpeted area (laundry room) and wash on the hottest setting. Carefully inspect incoming luggage/items and hand wash/heat or freeze. Sensitive to handle but worth it, I believe. Good luck!
