What is the best way to treat this? home remedies? food and things she would avoid hi! my 9 year old sister is having a cough with fast breathing. i've observed that whenever she has a. cough and sometimes cold she breathes fast. i've noticed it sin?

She needs to be seen by a doctor to determine why she is breathing fast and what the cough is from. If she is suspected of having allergies, she may need allergy testing in order to determine what she is allergic to so that you will know what to avoid. If there is a different etiology, then the diagnosis will determine the treatment. So, have her seen by a doctor for evaluation. Good luck!

A pulmonary function may be y. If there is a family history of allergies/ asthma it increases her chance of the same diagnosis. Watch for signs of fever and worsening.
