Adhd Testing: As the other doctor suggests there is no one test for ADHD, and a diagnosis is based on reports and observed behavior via checklists and interview. 2 tests being used to improve diagnostic precision are a Neuro EEG (NEBA) and Continuous Performance Tests (my preference is the IVA+). These aid in the diagnosis process, but are not full proof so they have to be interpreted by a specialist.

Mostly clinical : The FDA cleared few tests to aid in the diagnosis of ADHD but this diagnosis is primarily a clinical one. Avoid spending thousands of dollars on an MRI or tests that claim to detect ADHD with a blood or saliva sample.
