Hello. i feel pain in surface vein of my arm, it is also hard like a rope. it started after a catheter was used briefly during ingrown toenail surgery?

You have an: irritation of the vein called thrombophlebitis which also involves a clot, causing the ropiness sensation. I would put warm compresses on the affected area 4x/day, and take a baby aspirin a day. If not better within 10 days,see your Dr.
