A member asked:

My daughter drank from a puddle. could she get rabies from that?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Rabies very unlikely: Bats can transmit rabies with urine, but unless the puddle is in a place with lots and lots of bats, the transmission is very unlikely. Dysentery or other diseases commonly spread by contaminated water are much more likely.
