A member asked:

At my babies daycare they found a bat at night. the owners got the bat and killed it. could they get rabies and give it to my daughter?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Rabies: Bats are one of the most common sources of rabies. If your child got bit by the bat they should be seen by their doctor as soon as possible. If someone at the daycare got bit they also need to seek medical attention but it has only passed person to person with transplants so unless your child got bit directly you don't have to worry about it.
