I've diagnosed myself with a perineum cyst. what kind of dr. should i go to about it to have it drained or removed?

Cyst: Sometimes an urgent care doctor can drain a cyst, especially if it is infected, and when it's important to have it drained soon. A dermatologist or general surgery clinic is also an option. Be extremely careful that this is not a peri-rectal abscess, since they are dangerous and life-threatening. See a doctor soon.

An OB/GYN: Obstetrician/gynecologists are trained in the care of pregnant women, delivery of healthy babies, and diagnosis/treatment (including surgery) of gynecologic conditions. This specialist would be best equipped to deal with a perineal/vulvar cyst which may be a Bartholin's or Skene's gland cyst or abscess, an epidermoid inclusion cyst, hydradenoma or lipoma. General surgeon: Assuming that your diagnosis is true, perineal abscesses are usually treated by general surgeons where they can use different techniques depending on where and how big the abscess is.
