A member asked:

Is it worth persuing repressed memories or will it always be a reconstruction of a reconstruction? if it can never be verified is there a point to it?

Hmmm....: The mind is amazing. If a person has a complex, vivid dream, it's not real, right? A vivid dream is created by the human mind. If that same mind tries to recreate memories, or just retrieve them from the depths of the brain, how does that mind know reality from new creation? Which parts of the memories are real? Which are created? Which are retrieved? Which were never stored correctly in the past?
