Rupture: of the stomach from excessive food or drink is an "old wives tale" ITS VERY RARE the individual would vomit long before rupture would occur. Case Reports (Single instances which indicate the rarity) of rupture after BINGE EATING occurred due to insufficient circulation to the stomach and necrosis (death) of the stomach tissues.
