It depends: It depends on the potential cause, size, location and other factors (infectious vs non-infectious causes). You need to see your primary doctor ASAP, who will determine if you need any diagnostic testing in addition to medical treatment. You may also end up needing a GI referral, depending on the findings and recommendation of your doctor.
