I had a vaginal ultrasound showing normal ovaries. 5 weeks later i woke up with swollen upper stomach. could it be ovarian cancer? ca-125 normal

Ovaries: A CA-125 is a marker for ovarian cancer. In addition, it can be elevated in any process that involves the abdomen. A negative test strongly negates the possibility of ovarian cancer. In addition, a vaginal ultrasound that is normal is also an indicator of normal ovaries. Your swollen upper abdomen could be from gas, distension, due to a large meal, of the stomach organ, gallbladder issues etc.

Not likely, however: It is unlikely that it is ovarian cancer, however you must go to a GYN MD immediately and determine the source of the swollen upper stomach for certainty.
