What will an upper endoscopy see that a ct didn't?

CT is not: adequate for examining the stomach/esophagus mucosa. Small masses, ulcers, patches of inflammation, and other mucosal abnormalities may not be visualized with CT, but can be seen on endoscopy. Endoscopic biopsy can also confirm the diagnosis.
