Could be more....: Hi MarianaD. I'm sorry to hear you are having some trouble. Nail patella syndrome is a genetic condition in which the nails are altered from normal and knees are smaller. In some cases patients may have kidney problems and also thyroid disease but not always. You need to see someone in person and get the labwork and evaluation. Hope this helps!
