I run cross country and track distance. above my age level. i run a lot. is a doctor on here suggested to look up patella femoral syndrome. relation?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Runner's Knee: Runnerboy, i hope this helps...As a sports specialist, patellofemoral synd in some form is probably the most common knee problem i see in young athletes, especially runners. Typically it's felt behind the kneecap and is a stabbing pain. A good start would be getting on an icing program, 20 minutes 4-5 xs a day religiously. If it limits sports or there is swelling, see a sports specialist.
