Cysts are common: Some women consistently feel pain when they ovulate. Anytime you ovulate there is the possibility of forming a cyst. A 3cm cyst is really not concerning as long as it is "simple" meaning only fluid inside. They will just need to watch it over time to see if it gets bigger. A complex cyst (one that has structures inside), is more concerning and definitely needs to be followed by your doctor.
