Ovarian cysts: Small ovarian cysts do not contribute to ovulation cramping/bloating. Sometimes two eggs mature at once, providing higher estrogen production, and the drop in estrogen just prior to ovulation will feel much the same as just prior to a menstrual period, with bloating and cramping. Ask your gyn physician about endometriosis, which accentuates the pain when this occurs.
