Pelvic Pain: In general, an ultrasound itself will not routinely cause pain after the procedure. Any new or more severe episode of pelvic pain should be investigated by, and reported to your GYN. Without knowing the reasons behind of the ultrasound, and the findings of the scan, it is impossible to speculate on the cause of the pain or how fast it will resolve. Good Luck.

Not from ultrasound: There is nothing sharp on the sonogram probe so unlikely there could be any damage caused by that. What was the reason the sonogram was being done? If it was for something like an ovarian cyst, then a cyst could definitely cause that type of pain. More likely this pain is related to something else. Rule out pregnancy first. Also consider gastrointestinal sources of pain.
