First, be sure you: have the correct diagnosis..i.e. tendinitis and not a stress fracture. If you have excessive pronation, chronic posterior tibialis tendinitis often results. Old running shoes contribute. Use ice to reduce swelling; when gone, consider running, Check by rising on toes repeatedly; if hurts, no running. If ok, hop a few times each leg. If ok, resume gradual run-walk program. Ice after. See Sports Med
