Not at all: Flexeril is a muscle relaxant, and has little if any psycho-active benefits. It will not help anxiety attacks. Xanax (alprazolam) is a classic, but many other drugs could be used, even Beta blockers. But am concerned about your doctor's comments, and suggest you find a second opinion at this point.

No: No, flexeril (cyclobenzaprine hcl) is a skeletal muscle relaxer which helps to relieve symptoms from spasm. It is not used for or indicated for treatment for anxiety.
