Doc recently switched me from Xanax (alprazolam) to vistaril (which I have yet to try). I take Xanax (alprazolam) as needed. How do the 2 compare for controlling panic attacks?
Ive been taking Xanax since I was in my mid 20s for severe panic disorder. I was taking 3 blues(1mg) per day. At my age of 51 now, my doctor has weaned me to 2 peaches(.5mg) per day. Wht other benzo shld I try for relief but still get off of xanax?

My doctor gave me tinzanidine for a muscle spasm in my chest and shoulder and Xanax as needed for anxiety. I took 2 mg (half pill) of tinzanidine this morning but am now having a panic attack. Is it ok to now take Xanax since about 6 hours have passe?
