We would like to get pregnant and i took xanax occasionally, last month i took my last xanax. now i read that it is better to wait 3 months if you have taken benzodiazepines? why is that? do i need to wait two more months before trying to conceive?

"Occasional" Xanex is still possible to be detectable, so ask your OB physician for guidance and/or a blood test for benzodiazepines before attempting pregnancy.

It would be prudent to consult an obstetrician who can advise you in the context of your health. S/he may also advise you about pre-natal vitamins and optimum ways to get pregnant. Waiting a month or two would be safer. Wish you good health and a healthy baby!
