About 10 days ago i hit my lower leg (outside part of shin above the ankle) on a steel pipe. got huge bruise with a big lump. bruise healing, not lump?

Hit leg: Sounds like contusion with hematoma and periosteal reaction. It will get smaller and usually goes away but some people will have a permanent "hard spot".

You may want: to get an X-ray to see if you fractured anything…..

Varies: There are a number of possibilities, among them is a contusion to the bone itself. Don't hesitate to be seen for an accurate diagnosis.
