Sounds like: ruptured tendon, but you need to see a doctor to make sure that it is not thrombophlebitis, especially if you have risk factors such as birth control pills,smoking, protracted immobility, or recent surgery. This can lead to a pulmonary embolus, a potentially life threatening problem.
