A member asked:

Can the hpv virus on skin killed by radiation? as radiation also can kill cancer cells? possible or not?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Maybe/but why ?: HPV warts are relatively easy to eradicate by freezing, laser and or application of various chemicals. Why would anyone take the risks involved with radiation when less risky treatments are available ? Most infestations by HPV strains are removed by the immune system within 2-3 years. However, they can hide in your tissues and resurface on and off for years.Complete cure is not likely.
