EGD Report: "Chronic Gastritis with congestion of the lamina propria" refers to inflammation of your stomach's mucosa. The Lamina Propria is one of the layers of your stomach's cellular structure. Together with a wall of cells called the epithelium+lamina propria= Gastric mucosa Congestion, to a Pathologist, refers to inflammation or a conglomeration of cells causing such inflammation, or fluid extravasation
