There are 3 common: causes of bumps in the axillary (armpit) area. One is a clogged sweat gland. Another is an enlarged lymph node (lymphadenopathy). A third is an abscess in the hair follicle (folliculitis or furuncle). Because each of these has a different cause and significance, I strongly recommend that you have this checked out by a medical professional. Dr. Anne.
