Painful lump: Painful lump in your axilla is most likely an enlarged lymph node, you need to to see your 1ry care physician to make proper diagnosis & prescribe whatever treatment depending on the cause, you can take tylenol (acetaminophen) or ibuprofen for pain, avoid shaving that area until you see your doctor. Good luck.
