If U were a young-: Girl, U should have been under the care of a fellowship trained sports medicine orthopedic surgeon. An MRI is needed & surgical procedure done depending on the findings. If left untreated U could very well have instability which causes pain with use.

Get an MRI scan: Severe shoulder pain 1 year after a shoulder dislocation would indicate something is still injured in your shoulder. I would recommend getting a MRI or new MRI if you had one previously. Although many shoulder dislocations are treated nonsurgically, it is common to have cartilage tears or loose pieces that may require surgery. Physical therapy and anti-inflammatory medications may also help.

SHOULDER PAIN: Pain management strategy should be directed at a cause, so I think the first step needs to be appropriate orthopedic follow-up during which time a clinical diagnostic and treatment plan can be coordinated. This plan well almost undoubtedly include some form of pain management.
