May persist: It is unclear but the real question is why did you dislocate your shoulder? If you continue with the same risk you may do it again or have some residual damage for this dislocation. Some people have hypermobility which puts them at risk. You need to have your physician check you risk and have you see a shoulder specialist.

Yes if you take care: Recurrences are high in shoulder dislocations , due to non-compliance . You must allow the capsular injury to heal , do not discontinue the shoulder immobilization follow your doctors advise and go for physical therapy . Discuss with your doctor
