OK for 18 year olds: The advice to not use this relatively new drug is for younger youths. The concern would be if you have not gone through puberty. If you have - there is not a problem regarding the age. Discuss this and other concerns w/ that Doctor. They can reassure you. Best!

Amisulpride: Per Drugs. Com, use in prepubescent children (or children less than 15 years of age) is reported to be contraindicated. Although I am not positive of the reason, I suspect it has to do with the high risk of increasing prolaction levels. It does not sound like you are in an at-risk age group.
