A member asked:

I have torn ankle ligaments, its grade 2 and the first 48 hours just passed 2day, i have to fly 16th may. is it safe to fly for 3.5 hours ?

Why not?: the only concern with flying is that it would be hard to ice and elevate and if the foot is wrapped you would have to be concerned about getting a clot in the leg if the leg/foot is immobile or bandaged.

Probably: You would want to make sure your swelling is improving and your pain is under reasonable control and that you can get around safely without high likelihood of falling. Other than those issues, I don't think there would be any specific contraindications. Ask your doctor about your specific case.
