Take him now..: No pain just means the cavity hasn't eroded down to the pulp of the tooth and irritated the nerve. It doesn't mean you can ignore it for 3 months. It could get alot worse in that month and be the difference between being able to fill the tooth or lose the tooth. Have it evaluated within the next month....

Take him now...: Don't understand why you feel he needs to be in pain. Cavities don't always hurt, but that doesn't mean they don't need attention.

Dental appointment: I would recommend to take him to a Dentist before his next recall Exam.
