Changing moles.: The real key when considering melanomas, which can be quite small in reality, would be the identification of any change in the mole - size, thickness, texture, color. Any change should prompt a visit with a Dermatologist for an evaluation. Melanomas tend to grow in depth more than width, so even small changing moles should be looked at with diagnostic intent.
