A member asked:

Can the area where a mole was previously removed be re-biopsied? anyway to find out if melanoma is below the skin?

Need to examine: What was the result of the biopsy? If there was no melanoma in the biopsy, it is unlikely that you need to be re-biopsied. If you have any concern you may wish to have consultation with the pathologist, along with your doctor, who examined the biopsy. Theoretically the area can be re-biopsied, but it may not be needed. Have a diet rich in fresh vegetables, fruits, whole grains, low fat milk and milk products, nuts, beans, legumes, lentils and small amounts of lean meats. Avoid saturated fats. Exercise at least 150 minutes/week and increase the intensity of exercise gradually. Do not use tobacco, alcohol, weed or street drugs in any form. Practice safe sex.
