Unusual odor: Unusual odor in an otherwise normal appearing stool has no diagnostic significance. The abdominal discomfort may be significant but more information about the part of the abdomen involved, the nature of the discomfort, presence of tenderness and/or distension, nausea or vomiting, the relation to eating is needed. See your physician or a gastroenterologist if symptoms persist.
