A member asked:

I shared a drink with someone 48 hrs after a tooth extraction i'm now paranoid of catching something horrible like hiv am i protected by the clot that?

Very remote risk: Even if the person with whom you shared a drink has HIV, your risk of getting it remote. If you wish to have peace of mind, get a HIV nucleic acid test about 6 months after the incident. For good health -Have a diet rich in fresh vegetables, fruits, whole grains, low fat milk and milk products, nuts, beans, legumes, lentils and small amounts of lean meats. Avoid saturated fats. Exercise at least 150 minutes/week and increase the intensity of exercise gradually. Do not use tobacco, alcohol, weed or street drugs in any form. Practice safe sex.
