Nix (permethrin) the Vicks: Congestion in a 1 yo can derive from several issues.A most common one involves irritants, like dust smoke and fumes.The fume group can include the noxious effect of the smells, perfumes, cleaning agents, and the stink of Vicks.I never recommend that before school age.If you remove the smells from the kids life, and use a nasal saline rinse occasionally, thimgs should improve.
