Nasal saline: You can try nasal saline or use of a bulb syringe to clean out the nose. If a family member or household member smokes encourage them to stop. If you have pets try to keep them away from the child. You could consider hypoallergenic pillow and mattress covers. Cold medicines are not recommended at this point.
