Hymenectomy: Like any surgery, there is a risk of scar formation, however, when done right, the risks are small. The benefit of the surgery is to open the hymenal ring to allow your menstrual bleeding to emerge unobstructed. Exp. calf soreness & tightness in the morning and at rest. Been told ankle sprain can be the cause. Had grade 2 sprain 1 yr ago. PT doesnt help. MRI shows scarring. Cortisone shot is scheduled for next month. Is this necessary w/ current symptoms?
