I've had abdominal pain off and on for 3 years. some doctors tell me it's a cyst other say it's my colon. how can i tell once and for all what it is?

Keep asking.: It is fairly easy to determine whether pelvic pain is due to ovarian cysts vs colon issues. F you have not yet done so, i suggest seeing a gynecologist first. If he/she cannot find anything wrong with your reproductive system and no evidence of cysts on pelvic uktrasound, then get checked out by a G.I. Doc to eval the colon. (a gastroenterologist).
