We think so!: There is data to suggest that people in a coma still have fully functioning hearing and recognize voices. It is very important in their healing to continue to speak to them, love them, and especially play music as that activates different parts of their brain. People who have been in comas and come out have said what kept them going was people talking singing and interacting with them.
