Prevention: Make sure mouth is scrupulously healthy. Brush 2x/day for 2 full minutes by the clock. FLOSS DAILY. After surgery follow the Oral Surgeon's written instructions to the letter. Do not smoke, berore or after surgery. Do not consume alcohol. Be prudent.

Prevention: The best way to prevent the wound from infection is to adhere to the oral surgeon's advise. Keep your mouth clean by brushing and flossing. Do not use hydrogen peroxide! That will only delay the healing. Your mouth is normally a very dirty place but your body knows how to handle it. Do not worry.
