i just had my top right wisdom tooth extracted. can i take excedrin for the pain? will it prevent me from clotting? i don't want to get dry socket

Blood Clotting: Excedrin contains aspirin which can prevent clotting. That being said, your normal clotting time for an extraction is 7 to 10 minutes, so by the time you read this your medication will not affect the clot. Do not gargle, rinse hard, or disturb the wound and you should be fine. Take Tylenol if you are really concerned.
