Knowing what part: Of the bone hurts would help. The head of the bone at the joint? The shaft? The bottom of the head. Lots of possibilities: is it the sesamoid area? Is there swelling? Is there redness? Try and be as specific as possible.... Gout, stress fracture, sesamoid it's or fracture are all in the differential diagnosis.
