Yes : Adult adhd is misleading term. You do not develop this as an adult. By definition the symptoms of add/adhd are present before the age of 7. The diagnosis can be missed and it sounds like this is the case for your father. The same would apply to you. You could have a missed diagnosis but you would not develop it now. If you are concerned speak with provider.
