Several thoughts: Most ADHD cases in this country are managed by primary care physicians.Some that fail to respond to treatment or have other co-existing problems are referred to specialists for care.I assume from your statement your dad is a doc and qualified to provide both diagnosis and write for the controlled drugs used. If you would like a 2nd opinion, man up and tell him.
