Highly heritable: The research on add/adhd strongly indicates that the condition is heritable or inherited. There are acquired forms of the disorder as well through trauma or brain injury as well. A family history even a mild one with highly competent and successful parents is important to note. People compensate for the symptoms uniquely and it is worthwhile to understand what people had to do to manage.
