Possible : The main smelly gas is hydrogen sulfide , which can cause symptoms like headache , nausea etc in adults . If it is for a short time , the effects can clear up quickly , but if it continues , and the baby is exposed to high levels of the gas , it can cause serious problems. Also , any contact with sewage can cause serious infections. It s advisable to have a plumber resolve the problem quickly.
